At my 5th Birthday Party
Five years old already - doesn't time fly by when you're having fun?! My birthday party was at Little Stars Kids, where Becca and I went for Cheernastics for a couple of terms. We had a lot of fun at the birthday party decorating megaphones, making some other crafts and eating pizzas! All of my friends were there, and I got lots of presents!
Christmas was a fairly quiet time as we didn't have any grandparents over but we had lots of fun anyway (and got lots more presents!).
September 7th was a very exciting day - my first day at kindergarten!!! What makes it even more fun is that in High Bridge the kindergarten is part of the elementary school, so there are lots of bigger kids there as well. Later in the year we had a Halloween parade, and a 50's day. School's lots of fun!

Our first trip of the year was skiing in the Poconos with the Russells. I got to go into ski school and learnt how to do "pizza slices" and "french fries" with my skis. By the end of the day I was doing so well that I got to ski down the bunny slope with Mommy and Daddy!

Our first holiday abroad of the year was to the Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. We stayed at the same hotel that we had visited with John and Rachel in 2003, called the Windsurf Resort. It's a great place - it's own pool, a two minute walk to the beach (far quicker now that Becca is no longer in her stroller!) and a TV in every room showing cartoon network!!! Only problem is that it was all in Spanish!

Somehow I feel set up ...
In June we went camping at JellyStone Park in southern New Jersey. We had lots of fun and even went to a rodeo!
In August we visited our friends in Albany (Nat, Barbara and Liam) and then went camping in New York and Niagra Falls (actually we camped near the falls, not in them). We tried our hand at fossil hunting (no success), went to see waterfalls, petting zoos, farm museums and a large man carved from stone that poeple used to think was a real fossil. Don't know about you but I'm convinced ...

The infamous "Cardiff Giant" ... for more info see the Skeptics Dictionary
Wow - in 2005 we really got around! Next trip was in September and October to Europe. We visited Dada's grandparents in Wales then went to see his parents in Oxford and Epsom. Then we headed over to France with Grandma Vicki to see Oma, Opa, Auntie Liz, and Grauntie Liz, Gruncle Roger and their family at their farm in Tremolat. Later in the year Grandma Vicki announced that she was moving out of Epsom (after nearly 30 years) and had bought a little house in Tremolat herself. Looks like we'll be spending a lot more time in the Dordogne in the future.
