Birthday parties are so much fun - I could get used to them! Balloons, cake, presents, games, friends ... even Becca got all excited!

Beach Holidays Part 1 - Dominican Republic

In Grandpa John and Grandma Rachael came over and we all went to the Dominican Republic together. It was a town called Cabarete and we stayed in a great hotel with its own pool that was less than five minutes to the beach. Each night we went back to the beach to choose a restaurant to eat at and I got to run around and play in the surf. It's a lot more to a girl's tastes than the restaurants in New Jersey where I have to sit down all the time!

Beach Holidays Part 2 - North Carolina

In August we got to spend a week down at our friends beach house in Duck on the Outer Banks. Unfortunately it was a bit of a wash-out, literally, as we got over 24 inches of rain (that's 60 cm for the Europeans) so this was the only day that we actually got to go to the beach.

Beach Holidays Part 3 - Jersey Shore

OK, so we were only in Point Pleasant for a day and it's a little unfair to compare Jersey with the Caribbean or even the Outer Banks, but it was fun going to the beach. Also there were amusement arcades and aquariums which we really liked.

Other Holidays - Ohio and Madison

We also took some holidays in America - for Thanksgiving we went to see Auntie Liz in Madison, then drove up to northern Wisconsin to see Warren and Pam who are family friends. In May we spent the Memorial Day holiday in Columbus with the Meyricks - Becca very nearly took her first steps at the airport!
